Do you offer in person visits?
At this time, we only offer virtual visits. We utilize HIPAA compliant services through Zoom as our platform for virtual visits. You will receive a link prior to your appointment time which will be used to access your appointment.
How long are your appointments?
New patient evaluations are scheduled for 60 minutes. Follow up appointments for existing patients are 20 minutes.
How often are follow up appointments?
New patients are typically scheduled for follow up appointments once every 2-3 weeks. Once an effective treatment plan has been established, follow ups are typically scheduled every 3-6 months. These are general timeframes, but we acknowledge that every patient's needs are unique, and follow ups can be scheduled more frequently if needed.
What if I don't have insurance/choose to pay out of pocket?
If you do not have insurance, or if we are out of network with your insurance, we do offer self pay rates. New patient evaluations are $200 and each follow up appointment is $125-175, depending on complexity. If you wish to submit your visit to an out of network insurance to receive out of network benefits, we can provide a "superbill" upon request.
How do I view/change/cancel my scheduled appointments?
Let's face it. Things happen! Scheduled appointments can be viewed, cancelled, and/or rescheduled easily through the patient portal. You will be invited to join the patient portal prior to your first visit.
I ran out of refills of my medication. Do I need to schedule an appointment in order to get a refill?
We strive to give patient's enough refills to last them until their next scheduled appointment. But life happens, and if you needed to reschedule and are now out of medication, a partial refill will be given to "bridge" you to your next appointment. To avoid running out of your prescription, please contact us as soon as you realize you won't have enough medication to get you through to your next appointment and we'll do our best to send in a refill as soon as possible.
What's the best way to contact you?
Spruce Health is our HIPAA compliant communication platform. You will be invited to download the Spruce app prior to your first appointment. This will allow you to text us and be confident that your messages are secure. If you choose not to use the app, you can always call or email us normally. Just be aware that if you email or text outside of the Spruce app, your end of the communication is not HIPAA compliant and is not guaranteed to be secure.
